Armenia: On MTPL segment, insurers have paid claims AMD 1.9 billion worth (EUR 3.61 million) in the first six months of 2011
According to data published on the official site of Motor Insurers Bureau, in the first half of 2011, insurance companies in Armenia have paid, on the MTPL policy segment, claims in the amount of AMD 1.9 billion (EUR 3.61 million) and 9,574 claims files have been solved.
According to the published results, in the first six months of 2011, the company ROSGOSSTRAKH Armenia paid claims AMD 649.3 million (EUR 1.23 million) worth, solving 3,433 claims files, on the second place being the insurer INGO Armenia - AMD 370.068 million or EUR 0.704 million (1,661 cases), the third is RESO Armenia - AMD 256.8 million - EUR 0.488 million (1,226 cases), and on the fourth and fifth place are NAIRI Ins. and GARANT Limens, AMD 197.9 million (EUR 0.376 million) and AMD 160.3 million (EUR 0.305 million), respectively.
Currently, 349,038 drivers own MTPL policy and gross written premiums paid by them represented AMD 12.1 billion - EUR 23.03 million.
