BCR Asigurari de Viata VIG: 81% business growth and three times the profit in the first semester
 BCR Asigurari de Viata continues ascending in the life insurance business with a growth of 81% of gross written premiums in the first semester of 2010. The company also reported a profit of almost RON 22 million, 197% more than the 1st half of 2009.
"The results from the first semester of the current year reconfirmed the trust of our clients in the insurance products that we offer. Last but not least, the advantage of having a strong partner aside - the BCR network", declared Florina VIZINTEANU, President of the Board, BCR Asigurari de Viata VIENNA Insurance Group.
According to the company's leader, unit-linked products sold very well (unit linked and index launched in limited editions), "considered very attractive to those that have a taste for investing and to build a capital specially for retirement or those that want a guaranteed return.
The Austrian group VIG has four companies on the Romanian insurance market: ASIROM, BCR Asigurari, BCR Asigurari de Viata and OMNIASIG.
In the first six months of the current year the VIG member companies in Romania underwrote premiums of EUR 274 million, down by 12.5%.
