Brokers members of ABAR have registered 10% share of the brokerage market
 The 10 insurance brokerage companies members of the Association of Insurance-Reinsurance Brokers of Moldova (ABAR) achieved, by the end of September 2010, cumulated, a volume of mediated premiums of MDL 15.16 million (about EUR 920,000), which represents 9.9% of the total brokerage market. The percentage is declining, as in the same period of last year the same companies owned a share of 16.4% of the total market.
Also, reported to the entire insurance market, brokers members of ABAR have generated, in January-September, more than 2.2% of total gross written premiums on the Moldavian profile market.
The brokerage companies members of ABAR that were best placed in the top of the brokerage companies, made by the premiums volume, are: AUTOBIN Grup (17th place), COVERINS (24th place), UNIVERSAL Asig (25th place), EXTRA Asig (28th place) and AV Broker (30th place), as they have a share of over one percentage point at market level.
ABAR was created in 2009 and has as main tasks promoting insurance products among the population, as well as an increased quality of the relationship between insurance brokers, insurers and authorities.
The 10 member companies of the association are COVERINS, AV Broker, EXTRA-ASIG, DUVISTAR, ANAVIMAX Broker de Asigurare de Viata, AUTOBIN Grup, OMNIS, CENTRASIG, HERMINA and UNIVERSAL ASIG, the last two having adhered to ABAR in October this year.
