DELTA Asigurari is in liquidation and is searching an insurer for the transfer of the portfolio
 DELTA Asigurari, Romanian insurance company specialized on the life segment, is in voluntary liquidation process, all the necessary documents being submitted last month to the Insurance Supervisory Commission. "The decision was taken by shareholders, PETROMSERVICE and MKB Romexterra Bank, and now they negotiate the sale of portfolio of the company to other insurers on the market", said for XPRIMM Newsletters Maria PASA, General Manager of DELTA Asigurari.
Also, Maria PASA plans to continue her career in insurance, as she is currently in talks with another company on the market.
According to the company's General Manager, there have already been made steps to inform customers about the liquidation of DELTA Asigurari.
Regarding the massive drop of the company's business, registered last year,
Maria PASA said it was caused by the loss of a significant number of group contracts. Also, the negative financial result achieved by the company in 2008, of RON 4 million, after years in a row in which the insurer came out on profits, is the effect of the implemented extension projects, namely the investment in three new agencies.
DELTA Asigurari began its activity on the local life insurance market in 2003, and the shareholders of the company are PETROMSERVICE, with almost 65% of the shares, and MKB Romexterra Bank, which owns 35%.
