Harsh fight for top
During the first half of 2008 the amount of gross written premium reached
EUR 1 billion for the first 10 Romanian insurance companies. In the
same time, the market share has dropped down with 1.4% reaching 79%.
The results of the first semester of 2008 show that ALLIANZ-TIRIAC
is the first in top in Romania, followed by OMNIASIG with 3.5% market
share. ASIROM managed to win one position reaching the 3th place in
H1/2008.
ASIBAN, ING Asigurari and UNITA advance one position each
in top ten,although the market share is in loss in the same period
of 2007. ARDAF wins three places by comparison with the same period
of 2007, the market share increased with 100%.
