MOLDASIG in Top 50 CIS insurers
 The leader of the insurance market in the Republic of Moldova was, after the first six months of the year, on the 30th position in the hierarchy of CIS insurance companies, by the underwritings criterion, shows XPRIMM INSURANCE REPORT 1H 2011. The second company, by size, from Moldova, ASITO, has occupied the 51st position in the same ranking, while GRAWE CARAT Asigurari was ranked 65th. The presented ranking does not include insurers from Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The hierarchy of the CIS insurers is dominated by profile companies from Kazakhstan and Belarus. Thus, the first two places were assigned to the companies HALYK-KAZAKHINSTRAKH and EURASIA, both from Kazakhstan, while the third place went to the company BELGOSSTRAKH, the leader of the profile market in Belarus. Top 10 was completed by seven other insurers in Kazakhstan.
The leader of the insurance market in Georgia (editor's note: Georgia left CIS in 2008, but was included in the regional rankings), the company GPI Holding, occupied the 15th position, and the largest insurer in Azerbaijan, AZERSIGORTA State Insurance Company, ranked 20th.
