New CEO at ING Life
Cornelia COMAN was named General Manager of ING Life Romania, the effective
taking over of the mandate being scheduled for October the 1st 2008.
At the present time, Cornelia COMAN occupies the position of Interim
General Manager, replacing Bram BOON in the company's management,
as he was appointed CEO of ING Life Insurance in Greece.
"It is an honor for me to take over the leading position of ING
Life. Together with my team, we intend to strengthen our position of
leaders
of the insurance and pensions markets, by accelerating the growth in
the life insurance segment and by continuing our efforts of developing
and educating the private pensions market. We propose an annual average
increase of 25% of the volume of premiums, in the next three years,
by increasing the professionalism of our own sales force and by accelerating
the development of alternative sales channels: brokers and banks",
Cornelia COMAN said.

Bram BOON stated.
Cornelia Aurelia COMAN, 33 years old, began her career within ING in
1999, when she joined the company as an actuary. In 2002, she was promoted
Chief actuary, and shortly after that she was named Director of Actuarial
Management & Investments. From 2006 until now, Cornelia occupied
the position of Deputy General Manager of ING Life Romania, also taking
over commercial tasks, namely the development of partnerships with
banks and brokers. On the market level, Cornelia has constantly been
involved in the process of alignment of the Romanian legislation to
the European one, in the field of insurances and private pensions.
Cornelia graduated the Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of Cybernetics,
Statistics and Economical Informatics, and pursued actuarial courses
within the Institute of Actuaries from UK, courses of investments' management
within the Society of Actuaries in USA and ING Business School from
the Netherlands, as well as management and leadership courses in CEDEP
(Centre Europeen d'Education Permanente) from Fontainebleau and
from the Management Centre Europe in Brussels. Cornelia COMAN is married
and she has one child.
The ING management structure in the segment of private pensions has
also been recently completed with the appointment of Emilia BUNEA,
who will take over the position of General Manager of ING Fond de Pensii,
after obtaining all necessary notifications.
Cornelia COMAN will continue to occupy the position of Member of the
Executive Board of ING Fond de Pensii. "For pillar II, we intend
to provide excellent services to our clients and an active management
of the pension funds, at the highest level of professionalism", Cornelia
COMAN mentions.
