Plus 10% to the business of ALICO Romania in the first four months
ALICO Asigurari Romania, until December 2009 known as AIG Life, recorded in January-April an increase of 26% of gross written premiums from accident and illness insurance, respectively one of 25% of those underwritten from health insurance, the insurer said. These results came in the context of the concern of ALICO Romania to meet the segments of clients with specific needs and regarding the way of developing the products launched individually or in partnerships.
"In the context of insufficient solutions provided by the public system to cover the risk of illness and accidents, the value of medical and protection benefits is perceived by customers as being particularly relevant to maintaining the financial stability and a good health. For this reason, Romanians began to realize the need to protect their own person and family, transferring the financial risk of exposure to disease and accidents to a life insurance company", Theodor ALEXANDRESCU, General Manager, ALICO Asigurari said.
In the first part of 2010, ALICO Romania kept following its distribution strategy focused on multiple channels and on the diversification of products, both in terms of benefits and their degree of customization, and of varied cost that it offers to its clients, the company said.
Regarding the forthcoming period, the insurer will continue the specialized training of its distribution team, also strengthening relationships with existing partners - brokers and financial institutions - and developing new partnerships with companies, to develop personalized insurance offers for their employees.
