Romanian economy's outlook, one of the best in CEE
According to an opinion poll conducted by the ZEW Institute in collaboration with ERSTE Group, the financial analysts' perception of the Romanian economy's evolution in the next six months has improved in April, becoming the best in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Mediafax informs. In March Romania was third in the region from this point of view.
For CEE the analysts' perception index grew by 4.8 points to 18.7 points. In what concerns perception of the current economic situation, Romania is last but one in the region, just like it was in March, although the index grew by 7.6 points to -22 points. Croatia is the only economy that is in a worse situation, in its case the index dropping by 9.3 points to -23.7 points.
Expectations concerning the Bucharest Stock Exchange's evolution improved in April, the indicator that concerns the evolution of the BET index, an index that includes the top 10 most liquid stocks on the market, growing by 6.6 points to 51.4 points. Financial specialists have the greatest expectations from the Polish stock exchange, followed by Romania and Turkey. On the other hand, the outlook of the RON's evolution in relation to the EUR in the following six months improved in April and the index that ZEW calculated climbed by 1.3 points to 32.5 points.
