The Moldavian insurance brokers mediations grew by 134% in the first half
MDL 90 million is the total value of the premiums mediated by insurance brokers in the Republic of Moldova in the 1st half of the current year, increasing by 134%, as compared to the 1st half of 2009.
Also, the value represents more than 20.5% of the insurance market (Insurance market valued MDL 438.84 million in the 1st half of 2010 ).
By insurance classes, general insurance generated 94.8% of the broker insurance mediation businesses, with life insurances representing only 5.2%.
Out of the general insurance lines best represented were the Motor Hull premiums- 38%, followed by Green Card insurance with 24.8% and MTPL insurance with 12.4%.
