VIG made new appointments in the Managing Boards of companies from the Czech Republic and Slovakia
VIENNA Insurance Group announced important changes in the Managing Boards of the companies KOOPERATIVA poistovna, active in the insurance markets in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, respectively.
Thus, starting April 1st, 2012, Hana MACHACOVA will serve as Deputy CEO in the company from the Czech Republic. He succeeds Konstantin ALEXEJENKO, who will leave this position on March 31st, 2012. Another change is the appointment of a new member of the Managing Board starting January 1st, 2012, in the person of Jiri SYKORA. From April 2012, the Czech company's Managing Board shall consist of the following members: Martin DIVIS (CEO), Hana MACHACOVA (Deputy CEO), respectiv Gerhard LAHNER, Milan NIDL, Petr ZAPLETAL and Jiri SYKORA (members).
In the Slovak company, Erik NIKMON will join the Managing Board starting November 1st, 2011, and will be responsible for the non-life insurance segment. The Managing Board of the company will consist of Juraj LELKES (CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board), Kurt EBNER (Deputy CEO and Board Member), respectively Zdeno GOSSANYI, Erik NIKMON si Klaudia VOLNEROVA (members).
VIG is represented by three insurance companies in the Czech Republic: KOOPERATIVA pojistovna, CESKA pojistovna podnikatelska (CPP) and POJIST'OVNA Ceske sporitelny (PCS). With a market share of about 20%, KOOPERATIVA pojistovna is the second company in the Czech market, member of the VIG group since 1990, and operates on both insurance segments. The other two companies, CPP and PCS are also composite and are group members of VIG since 2005 and 2008, respectively. Also, VIG Re is running operations in the Czech Republic since mid-2008.
On the Slovak insurance market, VIG is present through three insurance companies: two composite - KOOPERATIVA, the second company in the market, and KOMUNALNA - and one specialized in the life segment, POISTOVNA Slovenskej sporitelne, member of VIG since 2008.
Also, on October 20th, 2011, VIG Group announced his presence on the 25th international insurance market, by acquiring JAHORINA Osiguranje (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
